In the afternoon of October 7, Wuxi-Jiangyin Intercity Rail Transit officially started its three-month no-load test run, marking the start of the countdown for official operation.
As CRRC’s “System+” demonstration project, since the construction started, Wuxi-Jiangyin Intercity Rail Transit has actively explored the new path of integration and innovative development, and adopted a complete set of prefabricated construction technologies. As the first intercity rail transit of Wuxi city, the Wuxi-Jiangyin rail will be connected with Metro Line 1 upon operation, realizing connectivity from Nanfangquan Station by the Taihu Lake to Jiangyin’s Waitan Station in the Yangtze River Estuary, and effectively building a half-an-hour commute circle linking Wuxi and Jiangyin to further facilitate the integrated development of Wuxi and Jiangyin.
Next step, the CRRC project team will make every effort to ensure the safe and smooth test run of the Wuxi-Jiangyin rail transit, thus contributing to the accelerated construction of “Wuxi on the track”.
